Senior Software Engineer

solidcore is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the designuger and architecture of our digital fitness platform. The ideal candidate will partner closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to drive technical decisions across our mobile and web applications, while building scalable backend services that support a seamless member experience. This role will also play a key part in mentoring engineers, elevating development practices, and exploring how AI‑powered tools and automation can accelerate innovation across the organization.

• Lead the design and architecture of solidcore's fitness platform using modern technologies including Node.js, React Native/Expo, Next.js, and AWS serviceswingen}$/
• Architect and implement scalable backend services and APIs using AWS Lambda, Dynamo
  
  DB, and other cloud infrastructure
• Drive technical decisions for mobile and web applications that power the solidcore member experience
• Leverage AI‑powered development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Git Hub Copilot to accelerate development and improve code quality
• Build and maintain AI agents and automation systems that enhance both internal operations and member experiences
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical code reviews to elevate team capabilities
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and leadership to ship features that directly impact thousands of fitness enthusiasts daily
• Lead incident response and production troubleshooting, establishing best practices for monitoring with Sentry
• Own key integrations with third‑party platforms like Mind Body Online and Contentful CMS
• Define and implement deployment strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure improvements using blue‑green deployment and modern practices
• Evaluate and introduce new AI technologies and tools to improve both development velocity and member experiences
• Collaborate with product and leadership to translate business needs into technical roadmaps

• 5-8+ years of professional software development experience
• Proven track record of designing and shipping production systems at scale
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/Type Script and Node.js
• Strong experience architecting frontend applications with React, React Native, or similar frameworks
• Production experience with AWS services (Lambda, Dynamo

• Experience designing RESTful APIs and distributed systems
• Track record of mentoring engineers and improving team practices
• Demonstrated leadership in production incident response and system optimization
• Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants and tools to enhance productivity
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring how AI can solve real‑world problems

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
