ResponsibilitiesThe United States Space Force (USSF) at the Pentagon is searching for a Chief for Information & Industrial Security to support S2X (NH-0080-04, GS-14/15 Equivalent).

IdealCandidate
The desired candidate would possess working knowledge of the Information Protection program. Additionally, working knowledge of the INDUSEC program would be ideal, ranging from assignments in Acquisition Security to Facility Security Officer (FSO). Candidate must currently possess the DCSA Security Fundamentals Certification or achieve certification within the first two years, upon assignment.
KeySkills and Abilities
- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret /SCI security clearance.
- Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
- PCS / relocation funding is authorized.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- Emergency-Essential (E-E), Non-Combat Essential (NCE), Capability-Based Volunteer (CBV) and Key Designated Position Statement:
Incumbents on this position may need to be removed from their military recall status. - Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 60 days a year.
- Department of Defense certification, Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Program Integration Professional Certification, conferral are required within 2 years of the established employee entry on duty
- This position meets the executive exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5 CFR 551.205).
- Short and extensive temporary duty (TDY) assignments worldwide using all modes of commercial and military transportation may be required. Successful performance of duties may require travel 20 to 30 percent of the time.
