Description
Amazon Corporate Security’s (ACS) mission is to deliver a safe and secure workplace for all Amazonians. The Business Assurance Center (BAC) supports this mission by providing a 24/7 global security operations center (GSOC) that serves as a single point of intake for corporate security issues worldwide and supports roughly 500k global corporate customers.
A USC is looking for talented incident response specialists to support our rapidly growing GSOC program. A successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing security incidents, writing detailed reports, coordinating with response stakeholders, and building positive service relationships across a diverse group of customers. Success in this role requires flexibility, bias for action, and a wide range of technical and interpersonal skills.
Time management and continuous task prioritization are critical to delivering support services in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Directly manage security incidents worldwide, working with response stakeholders and notifying key partner teams.
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure the effective triage and escalation of security incidents.
- Draft written products and emergency communications with a high level of accuracy and detail.
- Navigate a suite of technical resources to retrieve information and create reports in support of incident and crisis management activities as directed.
- Participate in drills and tabletop exercises, recommending improvements to BAC practices.
As an Incident Response Coordination Specialist, you will work within a team of specialists to manage physical security incidents worldwide. New hires must be able to navigate policies and procedures, make sound decisions in the absence of guidance, and escalating to team leaders when necessary. You must obsess over our customers, triage and respond to their security needs. This is a shift‑based role in a 24/7 operation, with expectations of working evenings, holidays, and weekends.
BasicQualifications
- Two (2) years of experience related to emergency management, GSOC operations, or other incident management roles in a high‑volume, high‑intensity environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing security incidents and crises.
- Strong verbal communication skills with an ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in high‑stress situations.
- Proven writing skills to include drafting, editing, and publishing written products such as incident reports, messaging products, and security alerts.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly collect and analyze data necessary to brief stakeholders on important, time‑sensitive security issues.
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in the fields of emergency management, security management, project management, business continuity, or related disciplines.

Compensation for this position ranges from $47,800 to $93,800 per year, depending on geographic market and other factors. In addition to base pay, a total compensation package may include equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits. Full compensation details are available at
