In this role you will be a key team member for teams that assess the security and resilience of critical U.S. Air Force mission systems, infrastructures, and assets. You will have opportunities to travel worldwide to critical Air Force infrastructure to ensure survivability against all hazards and threats.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments of sites to protect personnel, critical assets, and missions from physical attacks and hazards
- Review overall physical security posture, operations, and physical security systems for weaknesses and deficiencies
- Assess the operational environment, assets, and infrastructure to determine vulnerabilities
- Use expert knowledge of risk assessment and risk response to assist with asset, site, and enterprise risk management
- Provide recommendations to reduce overall risk by preventing or mitigating damage to mission‑critical systems
- Write highly‑technical reports and provide briefings on physical security assessment findings and risk‑management recommendations
- Collaboratively support team and staff mission activities including conferences, artifact development, and product quality control
- 6+ years of experience planning, managing, or assessing physical security
- Expert knowledge of risk management, security operations, and advanced security technologies and techniques
- Strong knowledge of electronic security system design, operation, and system effectiveness assessment
- Technical report writing for security assessment, inspection, or risk management
- Knowledge of Information Security and Operations Security principles
- Familiarity with the DoD Mission Assurance Constructs
- Demonstrated knowledge of requirements for protection of classified and sensitive information
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (highly desirable)
- DoD CDSE SFPC, SAPPC, SPIPC or PSC certifications (highly desirable)
- ASIS International PSP certification (highly desirable)
- CPTED training or certification (desirable)
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Must be able to travel up to 25% per year
- Must have a valid passport
- Must be able to effectively use databases and other IT systems
- May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time
- Reports to a physical location that occasionally requires traversing between buildings
- Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
- Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Other duties as assigned
