Vice President of Defense Sales (IC)
Full-time | Flexible Location (see below) | Salary: $180K - $200
KOTE $350K-$450K+
Our client is seeking a dynamic and influential Vice President of Defense Sales to join their growing team. They are looking for an experienced sales professional with a strong track record in technology sales specifically within the U.S. Federal Government's national security sector. This individual will be crucial in driving top-line revenue growth by developing, qualifying, and closing deals for innovative software products and services.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Own end-to-end new business opportunities, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Personally source, shape, and qualify new business opportunities.
- Manage complex sales cycles for multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Develop, maintain, and execute account plans for national security clients and prospects.
- Present business solutions at the executive level and evangelize the company's platform throughout the Federal/national security marketplace.
- Define and present compelling, customized value propositions and demonstrate technology and solutions.
Candidates with existing relationships and sales experience in the following agencies are strongly preferred:
- Defense Health Agency (DHA)
- USSTRATCOM (United States Strategic Command, Omaha, NE)
- USTRANSCOM (United States Transportation Command)
- 3+ years of experience selling SaaS or data/analytics platforms into the Department of Defense.
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth through complex, enterprise-level federal sales cycles.
- Strong executive-level relationships within the national security community.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (required).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality for new business development.
Our client is opening up on location for the right candidate. Washington, D.C./Arlington, VA is preferred, but candidates based near a major U.S. air hub will be considered, including but not limited to:
- New York City, NY
- Atlanta, GA
- Chicago, IL
- Salt Lake City, UT
Travel:
Up to 75% required for non-DC based candidates.
- Base Salary: $180,000 - $200,000
- OTE: $350,000 - $450,000
