The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full‑time Senior Operations Research Analyst, GS‑1515‑14 to work at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.

In this position you will serve as a senior Air Force operations research analyst and provide expertise in initiating, applying, and planning major developmental studies. Air Force Studies and Analyses, Assessments, and Lessons Learned (AF/A9) is recognized as the Air Force authority on operations research.

• US citizenship is required.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in operations research or in a related technical discipline such as mathematics, computer science, one of the physical sciences, or engineering. Advanced degree(s) are preferred.
• Must exhibit a high degree of judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and the ability to foresee the impact of changing technology.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge and mastery of a broad range of methods and techniques used in classical and modern advanced operations research studies and possession of analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of expert quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
• Ability to participate in study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.
• Ability to recognize and use correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicate information in writing in a succinct and organized manner; and produce written information, including technical material, which is appropriate for the intended audience.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.
• 6–9 years’ experience requested.
