Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Clinical Instructors interested in teaching students in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program located in the Arlington, VA area.

You will be mentoring students in person at an inpatient clinical setting. You'll be making connections between what our students are learning in the classroom and during simulations, with the real-world applications in patient care they are experiencing on-site. By bridging this gap, we can ensure that our students are not only well-prepared for their roles as healthcare professionals but also confident in their abilities to provide high-quality care to their patients.

Candidates with a completed MSN are encouraged to apply - Teaching experience is not required!

Clinicals are scheduled in a healthcare facility in the Arlington, VA area.

We are presently accepting applications to meet potential future need in the following areas of specialization:

Mental Health Psych Nursing:

Students will be demonstrating nursing skills and procedures in an inpatient healthcare center. Emphasis is on the dynamics of an individual’s ability to function in society. The course focuses on content relative to anxiety, self-concept, thought disorders, mood alterations, addictive behaviors, organic brain dysfunction, abuse, and violence issues.

Pediatric Nursing:

Students will be demonstrating nursing skills and procedures in an inpatient healthcare center. Family-centered care of children is the focus of this course, exploring issues of normal child care as well as health alterations of children from infancy through adolescence.

Maternal OB Nursing:

Students will be demonstrating nursing skills and procedures in an inpatient healthcare center on a Labor & Delivery unit. This course focuses on family-centered approaches to maternal/newborn care and incorporates health promotion and wellness issues. The childbearing cycle, including normal experience, high-risk factors, complications, and alterations are studied.

Complex Adult Health Critical Care:

Students will be demonstrating nursing skills and procedures in an inpatient healthcare center. Adult patients with unstable emergent critical illnesses are the focus of this course. Students integrate nursing, technological and scientific knowledge with clinical judgment to potentiate optimal health with a diverse patient population.
