Registered Nurse (RN)
The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well‑being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.

Contract Length: 26 Weeks
Schedule:
Rotating 36/48, Every Other Weekend
Start Dates: 1/26
- Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
- Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x‑ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a correctional healthcare team on a 26‑week contract. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a secure, fast‑paced environment. Candidates must have prior corrections experience to be considered.
Schedule RequirementsThis position follows a strict rotating 36/48 schedule. Candidates must be able to work the exact rotation below:
Week 1:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2:
Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
This rotation repeats every two weeks and includes every other weekend.
Qualifications- Active RN license
- Corrections experience required or similar
- Ability to work the rotating schedule without exceptions
- Local (within 50 miles): $50/hour
- Travel (over 50 miles): $25/hour with $1,400 stipend weekly ($2,300 or $2,700 weekly)
- 26‑week contract
- Opportunities to extend for an additional contract
- Option to transition to internal staff after completion of the initial term
