Purpose & ScopeAcross all levels the registered professional nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of assigned patients. The nurse also oversees assigned personnel and implements department, practice, and hospital policies and procedures related to nursing care. This role requires interpretive, consultative, and supervisory skills, as well as strong verbal, written, and visual communication abilities. Proficient telephone, written, and manual dexterity skills are essential.
EducationCollege diploma in nursing is required.
ExperienceOne year of healthcare/medical, nursing, or patient‑care experience is preferred.
Certification/Licensure- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or Compact State Licensure in Nursing.
- BLS certification is required.
