Missile Launching Station Operator

Enlist as a soldier into the United States Army and become a PATRIOT Launching Station Enhanced Operator/Maintainer who works directly with the PATRIOT launching stations. The PATRIOT missile system can launch advanced‑technology ammunition that is capable of neutralizing multiple air targets. This is NOT a civilian contractor position.
No experience necessary. Position is entry level.

• Ensure missiles are ready to fire the moment an airborne threat is detected and prepare the system for firing.
• Perform crucial electronic diagnostic procedures and preventive maintenance on the launcher station and its control systems.
• Establish and maintain radio and wire communications and prepare tactical map overlays and analyze data.

• 10 weeks of Basic Training.
• 13 weeks of Technical School with on-the-job instructions.

• Between 17-34 years old.
• No felonies. (Defer Adjudication included).
• Current High School Senior, High school graduate or GED equivalent.

• Pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test.
