Regional Sales Manager, Medical Dermatology – Mid Atlantic
ObjectivesThe Medical Dermatology Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the business objectives assigned. Responsibilities include hiring, leading, coaching and managing a team of Territory Managers in promoting Sun’s Branded Dermatology products. The Regional Sales Manager ensures that the business opportunities are optimized throughout the region and within targeted physician offices, key clinics and teaching hospital accounts that specialize in the area of Dermatology.
The Dermatology Regional Sales Manager will be required to demonstrate excellence in execution of assigned strategies and tactics along with the development of regional and local business plans that lead to achievement of sales goals and objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree a plus
- Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical experience
- 2+ years’ experience as Regional or District Sales Manager or equivalent field sales management level experience
- Ability to lead, develop and coach high performing, diverse teams
- Very strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools:
PowerPoint, Excel and Word - Demonstrated clinical acumen
- Strong ability to collaborate, innovate and deliver results
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in dermatology
- Experience managing and communicating complex reimbursement and access issues in a highly competitive market
- Experience leading high performing dermatology teams
This individual must have a passion for building and leading high performing teams that deliver exceptional results. They must have a positive attitude and be adaptable to a dynamic “startup” type of environment without losing focus on business goals. This individual should be a strong and dependable leader who builds trust with their team and is transparent, ethical, and compliant. They should also be experienced at coaching and presenting detailed scientific subject matter in a clear and understandable fashion.
GeneralResponsibilities/Decision Making Authority
- Reports directly to the Area Sales Director
- Responsible for full achievement of assigned business objectives
- Responsible for building and leading a field sales team consisting of Dermatology Territory Managers
- Works closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, Field Reimbursement, Managed Markets and leadership to manage a commercial sales team
- Responsible for the understanding and utilization of sales reports, CRM, and forecasts
- Responsible for managing sales budgets
- Responsible for coaching to the sales model and training needs for the sales team in coordination with Sales Training
- Responsibility for coaching team on Market Access understanding, opportunity identification and pull-through of Market Access opportunities
- Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals
