Lidl US is searching for the next Manager - Food Promotions to join our International Planning team! The Manager - Food Promotions is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager with tasks to profitably plan for weekly/monthly and seasonal food promotions based on market analysis and company objectives. The Manager is responsible for seasonal product promotional planning on a weekly monthly and yearly basis.
The role is also responsible for leading a team of employees.
PLEASE NOTE:
This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Arlington, VA, and follows a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in-office.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise, mentor, and manage multiple team members/analysts in accordance with Company principles and management model
- Effectively delegate and guide the work of other team members in accordance with Company principles and management model
- Implement and manage assigned programs, processes and initiatives through effective delegation and collaboration with stakeholders
- Analyze and evaluate current processes and projects for recommended optimization
- Support in planning and forecasting weekly and seasonal promotional assortments by the necessary deadlines
- Analyze past sales to adapt and improve future planning
- Prepare weekly market pricing research for promotional items
- Accurately maintain item planning in the promotional planning system (APT)
- Collaborate cross functionally with supply chain, marketing, IT and purchasing administration departments to troubleshoot potential issues and ensure deadlines are met
- Proof and ensure information accuracy of items in the promotional leaflet and digital assets
- Involvement of promotional strategy for each purchasing category; prepare and present during category reviews
- Coordination with purchasing team on new items set up for all seasonally listed items
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Excellent management and supervisory skills

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, or related software
- Knowledge of the competitive landscape and market strategies for grocery promotions
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Merchandise planning experience
- Retail analytics background
- Ecommerce experience
- Data analytics experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field including two years in a supervisory capacity
Job Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
