This announcement is for the OSD Honors Legal Internship Program, First and Second Year Law Students. Expected start date is June 1, 2026. This program is 10 weeks in duration. This is a Public Notice under the DoD Direct-Hire Authority for Pathways Post-Secondary Students. Please read this Public Notice in its entirety prior to submitting your application for consideration.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required for acceptance into this internship program.
Candidates must have completed their first year of law school prior to the commencement of the 2026 summer intern period in order to be appointed at the GS-07 level.
Candidates must have completed their second year of law school prior to the commencement of the 2026 summer intern period in order to be appointed at the GS-09 level.
Candidates must be continuing in legal studies throughout the summer and/or into the fall of 2026 to be eligible.
