About the RoleThe Sr. Acquisition & Data Analytics Specialist plays a critical role in driving strategic growth initiatives through data‑driven acquisition strategies to support United States Space Force (USSF) acquisition and program management activities. This role provides critical analytical, technical, and advisory support to acquisition programs, leveraging advanced data engineering, machine learning, and text analytics capabilities to improve decision‑making and mission outcomes. An active Secret clearance is required.

HYBRID; MUST be located in DC, Virginia, or Maryland.

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience supporting DoD or federal acquisition programs, with strong familiarity with the DoD 5000 framework.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Demonstrated experience with the SAS Institute Viya Platform, including data management, analytics, and model deployment.
- Hands‑on experience with LLM‑based text analytics, NLP pipelines, or large‑scale unstructured data processing.
- Strong knowledge of acquisition documentation, program management processes, and requirements development.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, or Marketing.
- Certification in data analytics or related disciplines (e.g., Google Data Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional).
- Certifications such as PMP, DAWIA, or equivalent.
- Experience with machine learning techniques and predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools.
- Experience supporting US Space Force, Air Force, or other space‑related defense programs.
- Familiarity with digital engineering, model‑based systems engineering (MBSE), or mission data environments.
- Experience with cloud‑based analytics platforms, data governance, or automation tools.
- Provide expert guidance in DoD and USSF acquisition lifecycle activities, including requirements development, market research, cost analysis, risk assessments, and milestone documentation.
- Support program managers with planning, execution, and monitoring of acquisition programs in accordance with DoD 5000-series policy.
- Prepare acquisition‑related documentation, briefings, reports, and analysis for senior leadership.
- Coordinate with engineering, financial, and contracting teams to ensure acquisition alignment with USSF mission needs.
- Lead development of advanced analytics workflows using SAS Institute Viya Platform, including data pipelines, statistical analysis, forecasting, and modeling.
- Apply large language model (LLM)-based text analytics to extract insights from program documentation, technical reports, and operational data.
- Design, implement, and optimize analytics dashboards, automation processes, and data‑driven decision tools.
- Integrate structured and unstructured datasets to support acquisition planning, risk evaluation, and program oversight.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise in machine learning, NLP, and predictive analytics relevant to USSF mission areas.
