As a Business Analyst II, you'll be the vital link between business objectives and technology solutions. You'll work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, manage Agile project artifacts, support system implementations, and drive process improvements. This is a hands-on role where your analytical mindset and communication skills will directly impact the success of key initiatives.
What You'll Do
Requirements & Documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and success metrics
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and requirements
- Maintain documentation in tools like Confluence, Jira, and Share Point
- Create and manage JIRA artifacts (Epics, Stories, Tasks, Bugs)
- Lead Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, grooming, sprint planning
- Refine backlog items to reflect evolving priorities
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams
- Support QA teams in defect resolution and testing
- Troubleshoot and escalate user-reported issues
- Manage small to mid-sized projects from design to post-implementation
- Analyze workflows and propose process improvements
- Maintain project timelines using Jira and Advanced Roadmaps
- Provide functional support for business applications
- Identify trends in user issues and recommend solutions
- Serve as technical and functional lead for designated systems
- Create user guides and training materials
- Maintain system documentation and business rules
- Track time and ensure adherence to project governance standards
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role
- Industry experience in Life Insurance, Annuities, or Financial Services
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with systems like Salesforce, Sureify, iPipeline, Calcfocus, or Mulesoft (preferred)
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to create training materials and deliver user training
