Microsoft Help Desk Specialist

Our client, a government agency specializing in information technology services, is seeking a Microsoft Help Desk Specialist to join their team. As a Microsoft Help Desk Specialist, you will be part of the IT support department supporting federal clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Microsoft Help Desk Specialist

Location: Arlington, Virginia

Pay Range: Fair Market Rate

What's the Job?

• Manage end-user support for Microsoft-based applications and systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures for ticketing and support workflows.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for operational improvements.
• Serve as a Tier 1 and 2 support agent, escalating complex issues to program leadership as needed.
• Maintain and update knowledge articles within the team's Wiki to ensure accurate and current support information.

What's Needed?

• Strong federal background with experience supporting government or military IT systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 1-2 years of experience supporting software applications, preferably Microsoft-based.
• Experience with Help Desk operations and troubleshooting Microsoft applications.
• Ability to work up to 100% onsite in the National Capital Region with access to NIPR and SIPR networks.
