Network Engineer Security Clearance

Position: Network Engineer with Security Clearance
Our Partner is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. They are seeking a motivated Network Engineer to implement, maintain and support the lab network infrastructure.

Responsibilities
* Leverage advanced analytical and technical skills to design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and support command decision-making
* Support the integration of new technologies and equipment within lab environments, including development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies
* Assess network topology and device configurations, identify critical security vulnerabilities, and recommend security best practices
* Provide user support for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix, as well as MacOS and iOS platforms
* Troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of technical issues, from basic to complex network problems
* Implement granular access controls, monitor system performance and accessibility, establish and maintain backup protocols, and ensure system security
* Diagnose and resolve complex enterprise storage issues across local and wide area networks, including replication strategy support and remediation of storage-related incidents
* Design, build, and maintain robust network environments by configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as updating network devices and performing IP address audits
* Ensure optimal network performance by troubleshooting issues, enforcing system standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize infrastructure
* Secure network systems through policy enforcement, access controls, and continuous monitoring Requirements
* US Citizenship;
Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
* Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
* BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7+ years network administration, network engineering or systems administration experience
* 5+ years of directly relevant experience in network administration
* Proficiency with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix and MacOS
* Strong knowledge and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
* Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration
* Skilled in working with virtual desktop environments (Citrix, VMware)
* Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations

Certifications:

DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II;
Network+; CCNA Desired Skills
* Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches
* Experience with converged infrastructure solutions (e.g., Flex Pod) and Net App storage systems
* Proficiency with Cisco Intersight, vCenter, and virtualization automation/optimization
* Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and SOPs
* Capable of creating and maintaining network diagrams
* Demonstrated experience in network design, implementation, and performance tuning
* Project management capabilities and excellent time-management skills
