Salesforce CRM Developer

Job Title: CRM Developer (Salesforce)

Location:
Arlington, VA (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a CRM Developer with strong Salesforce expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable CRM solutions supporting fundraising, program delivery, and operational functions. This is a cross-functional role covering the full development lifecycle, with a focus on technical quality, secure architecture, and business alignment.

• Salesforce Development & Configuration
  • Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements
  • Configure declarative features such as Flows, validation rules, custom objects, reports, and dashboards
  • Develop custom solutions using Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and Experience Cloud
• Integration & Deployment
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs
  • Support deployments across environments using version control and release management best practices
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams
• Platform & Administration
  • Build and configure Experience Cloud sites for external users
  • Support Salesforce administration including security, permissions, and data integrity
  • Evaluate platform capabilities and recommend improvements or enhancements
• Quality & SDLC Support
  • Perform unit testing and support QA and defect resolution
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, project managers, and business stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of application development experience
• 3 years of hands-on Salesforce development
• Strong experience with:
• Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud
• Salesforce Experience Cloud
• Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL
• Triggers, test classes, flows, validation rules
• Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, security model, data schema, and governor limits
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations
• Experience using Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions for integrations
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Git Hub

• CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops, and version control practices
• Experience with third-party Salesforce integrations (payment platforms, forms, e-signature tools, surveys)
• Python development experience
• Salesforce Data Cloud exposure
• Experience supporting nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
