Job Description

We are seeking a Data Product Manager for Parts to join our Data Product & Operations team. In this role you will take ownership of expanding Govini’s data coverage for parts, hardware, and components that are critical to the sustainment and success of Government‑owned systems and programs. Working with our go‑to‑market teams including Sales, Implementation Engineers, and Engagement Managers, you’ll engage with our customers to learn their pain points and data gaps which will help inform how our Product team can develop new workflows in Ark to solve their problems.

You’ll develop and maintain the data roadmap for expanding Govini’s coverage of commercial and government hardware and components. This will include the incorporation of government data systems and close partnership with the Data Product Manager for Government Data Systems.

This role requires cross‑team collaboration and strong communication skills across both technical and non‑technical audiences. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience working with government clients and users, along with the ability to understand data systems at a technical level.

This is a full‑time position located out of our offices in Arlington, VA, and will require up to 25% travel.

Scope of Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data roadmap for both commercial and government‑procured parts.
  • Identify and vet new data sources involving part availability, technical specifications, and pricing.
  • Write product requirements for new data ingestion and cross‑collaboration with data engineering scrum teams for execution.
  • Meet with key clients and stakeholders that rely on Parts data.
  • Partner with Product to develop or enhance workflows reliant on parts data.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with commercial data providers to expand coverage of unique parts data.
  • Maintain benchmark comparisons to competitor offerings and data coverage.
  • Help grow and mentor the Data Product Manager team.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Data Analysis, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years experience in Data Product Management or related field.
  • Extensive experience with government parts data and systems.
  • Experience with commercial part listings and data sources.
  • Four or more years experience with SQL, Python, or equivalent programmatic language.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail.
Desired Skills
  • Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorship.
  • Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment.
  • Master’s degree in Product Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Understanding or hands‑on experience with DLA cataloging methodology.
  • Direct experience with the nuances and challenges of the defense acquisition processes.
  • Experience managing data‑related projects and initiatives.

We firmly believe that past performance is the best indicator of future performance. If you thrive while building solutions to complex problems, are a self‑starter, and are passionate about making an impact in global security, we’re eager to hear from you.
