Amazon Web Services is looking for a talented and technical GenAI Solutions Architect to help accelerate our business supporting defense customers. As a Sr. GenAI Solutions Architect on the DoD Solutions Architect team, you will architect, build, test, and deliver generative AI prototypes and production solutions for our defense customer's missions.

You will partner with customers, AWS Sales and several other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient GenAI architectures that address defense customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS GenAI services. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS GenAI capabilities within the defense space.

• Building scalable, secure, and innovative GenAI prototypes and production solutions using AWS services like Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Sage Maker, Amazon Q, and other AWS GenAI capabilities that solve diverse and challenging problems across customers in the defense sector.
• Hands‑on development of GenAI applications leveraging large language models (LLMs), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, fine‑tuning, and agentic workflows.
• Architecting end‑to‑end GenAI solutions from prototype to production, including model selection, infrastructure design, security implementation, and operational excellence.
• Using out of the box thinking to challenge existing assumptions and design bold GenAI solutions that transform mission outcomes.
• Optimizing GenAI processes using tools, repeatable solution patterns, infrastructure‑as‑code, and automation.
• Having a strong understanding of large scale GenAI architectures and implementation patterns; past experience working as a GenAI engineer or architect, building production GenAI applications.

• Own the approach (business, organizational, technical) and ultimate success around specific GenAI projects, from prototype development through production deployment.
• Build functional GenAI prototypes using AWS services (Amazon Bedrock, Sage Maker, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.) to demonstrate art‑of‑the‑possible for DoD customers.
• Architect production‑ready GenAI solutions that address security, scalability, cost optimization, and operational requirements for defense environments.
• Discuss complex defense mission requirements and GenAI technical concepts with executives, line managers, data scientists, and mission operators.
• Engage with various AWS teams, including GenAI service teams, data & analytics, IoT, business development, marketing, partners and regional professional services organizations during pre and post sales cycle.
• Ensure customer success in ideating, prototyping, and launching GenAI solutions on the AWS platform.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS GenAI services and participate in deep business discussions to ensure solutions are designed to capture business value and drive the intended success metrics.
• Conduct hands‑on workshop sessions to build GenAI prototypes and identify GenAI opportunities with our customers considering or already using AWS.
• Develop and share GenAI reference architectures, implementation patterns, and best practices for enterprises building GenAI solutions.
• Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer‑facing publications such as whitepapers, blog posts, and technical guides focused on GenAI.
• Build deep relationships with senior individuals within customers to enable them to be GenAI advocates.
