ServiceNow Engineer

OVERVIEW

iTech AG is seeking a Senior Service Now Developer to support a federal program by designing, developing, and enhancing Service Now solutions in a secure, scalable, and compliant environment. This role serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for building high-quality platform functionality, developing user-facing portals, and supporting core Service Now capabilities aligned to mission and business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on Service Now development experience, deep familiarity with portal technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively within Agile and SAFe delivery environments.

This role requires a developer who can translate requirements into maintainable, performant Service Now solutions while adhering to federal standards and best practices.

• Design, develop, and configure Service Now solutions to support federal program requirements
• Build and maintain custom applications, workflows, business rules, and UI policies
• Develop and enhance Service Now ITSM, ITOM and CMDB functionality
• Design, develop, and support Service Now portals and web-based user experiences, including Service Portal and/or UI Builder
• Collaborate with Service Now Architects to implement scalable, standards‑based solutions
• Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
• Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
• Troubleshoot and resolve Service Now defects and production issues
• Ensure configurations and customizations align with federal security and compliance requirements
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team
• Other duties as assigned

• 3+ years of hands‑on Service Now development experience
• Strong experience developing custom Service Now applications and platform configurations
• Proficiency with Service Now scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs)
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Service Now Certified Systems Administrator (CSA)

CIS – ITSM certification

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
