We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly analytical Business Analyst to support a mission‑critical Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) program. In this role, you will serve as the key liaison between stakeholders and the software development team, translating complex business needs and mission requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring that solutions are aligned with DISA objectives, user needs, and program standards.

• Engage with DISA stakeholders, end users, and mission owners to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed specifications for software developers.
• Work closely with developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure clear understanding of requirements and business context.
• Conduct requirements walkthroughs, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions.
• Assist in developing workflows, process maps, and data models to support solution design.
• Validate delivered functionality against requirements through reviews, demonstrations, and testing support.
• Maintain and manage requirements documentation, traceability matrices, and change control processes.
• Support Agile ceremonies and help drive continuous improvement in requirements processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert on system capabilities and business processes within the DISA environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Active DoD Secret Clearance (at minimum).
• 3–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, or similar role supporting software development projects.
• This role is hybrid and will require an onsite presence in Crystal City, VA at least two days per week.
• Experience working on DoD or DISA programs strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, DOORS, or similar.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
