AWS established a specialized group of service teams responsible for the work we are doing with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them. AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations - from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry.

As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Every day is Day 1  a typical day, our Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineers (ADCE) will support AWS Config engineering and operations by completing activities including but not limited to:
- Manage and monitoring systems health and status
- Provisioning devices, assisting with data ingestion, and device cleaning
- Troubleshooting device, network, and/or configuration related issues
- Identifying, documenting, and communicating engineering and operations recommendations to team members - Writing and disseminating after action reports capturing key events, actions taken, and future mitigation plans
- Providing on-call support when necessary About the team

Basic Qualifications - High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
- 1+ years of Linux systems administration and/or development experience
- 1+ years of technical support
- 1+ years of networking (such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP) experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
