Data Solutions Architect; Hybrid

Overview

• Tier One Technologies is looking for a Data Solutions Architect for our direct US Government client.
• This hybrid Contract-to-Hire position will be located in Rosslyn, VA.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.

• Serve as the primary technical architect for data warehousing projects to address business intelligence challenges.
• Oversee the overall design and governance of the enterprise data platform.
• Provide guidance on governance best practices and support long-term alignment with the organization’s collaboration goals.
• Manage QA functions, including developing unit, system, and integration test plans, and oversee their execution.
• Write technical documentation as well as end-user system documentation.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of enterprise Data architecture experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in database design, ETL (OWB/ODI), reporting, and analytics.
• Possess deep technical expertise as both a Solutions architect and AI architect.
• Previous consulting experience utilizing an Agile delivery methodology.
• 3+ years of Azure ETL processing experience.
• 3+ years of experience utilizing data warehousing methodologies and processes.
• Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks.
• Proficiency in creating PL/SQL packages.
• Full SDLC and Data Modeling experience.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to create both logical and physical data models.
• Ability to tune databases for maximum performance.
• Experience in Data Preparation - Data Profiling, Data Cleansing, and Data Auditing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Ability to obtain a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
• Ability to pass drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
• Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
• Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
