OverviewAMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee‑owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Service Desk Technician, you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Provide first‑level contact and problem resolution for all users with assigned software application problems.
- Resolve as many user‑reported problems as expertise permits using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases.
- Respond to users requests for technical assistance in person, via phone or electronically.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal support staff to assure accurate problem interpretation.
- Assist with installing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving Windows servers and other computer‑related equipment problems to ensure functional operation.
- Receive and process workload assignments only from the technical support division team leaders and/or supervisor through contractor lead.
- Inform and meet with the technical support team daily or as required to discuss new workload assignments, project milestones, unanticipated delays, development/production environment issues, security changes, and system changes prior to implementation.
- 2+ years' experience in a Service Desk environment
- CompTIA Security+ REQUIRED
- Secret Clearance

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
