Enterprise Network Manager

Job Title:

Enterprise Network Manager – Air Force Civilian Service. Level: GS-2210-14.

Location:

Headquarters Air Force, Studies and Analysis Pentagon, Arlington, VA. Employment:

This position is open only to current federal civilian employees within the Department of Defense (DoD). Provide SF‑50 with application.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as Infrastructure Manager for the SAF/SA, leading the implementation and management of enterprise infrastructure supporting the organization’s analytical mission.
  • Work directly with the Chief of Information Technology to establish the IT vision and ensure its execution to meet analytical requirements set forth by SAF/SA Directors and Technical Directors.
  • Act as primary systems administrator for critical infrastructure support and incident response, with 24/7 on‑call availability.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Position is designated by the Air Force as a testing designated position under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program and is subject to random drug testing.
  • Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure architecture and operations, including virtualization technologies, storage area networks, backup and recovery systems, network infrastructure, cloud technologies, and infrastructure requirements for high‑performance computing.
  • Knowledge of high‑performance computing requirements, including parallel file systems, high‑speed interconnects (Infini Band, RoCE), job scheduling systems (SLURM, SGE), scientific computing libraries, containerization for reproducible research, and workflow management systems for data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of DoD security requirements and protocols, including NIST standards, RMF processes, and classified system requirements; understanding of security controls implementation and continuous monitoring requirements for systems that process sensitive analytical data and models; knowledge of project management methodologies and tools; knowledge of storage systems.
  • Knowledge of agile practices and modern IT service management methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Dev Ops frameworks; demonstrated experience implementing DORA metrics and OKRs for continuous improvement.
