Schedule:
Average of 20 hours per week. Work may be flexible but should be consistent each week. Candidates must live within driving distance of the DC Metro area and report to HQ in Arlington, VA one day per week, adjusted as needed at supervisor’s discretion.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance. Must not have travelled outside the US for a combined total of six months or more in the last five years, and must have resided in the US for the last five years.
Position Description- Functions as the primary technical architect for data warehousing projects to solve business intelligence challenges.
- Possesses deep technical expertise in database design, ETL (OWB/ODI), reporting, and analytics.
- Has previous consulting experience utilizing an agile delivery methodology.
- Solutions architect must have expertise as both a solutions architect and an AI architect.
- 3+ years of experience with Azure ETL processing.
- 3+ years of experience utilizing data warehousing methodologies and processes.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
- Knowledge and experience of dimensional modeling.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks.
- Proficiency in creating PL/SQL packages.
- Full SDLC and data modeling experience.
- Ability to create both logical and physical data models.
- Ability to tune databases for maximum performance.
- Experience in data preparation: data profiling, cleansing, and auditing.
- Ability to work with Business Analysts to create functional specifications and data.
- Manages QA functions.
- Develops unit, system, and integration test plans and manages execution.
- Ability to write technical and end‑user system documentation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience transforming logical business requirements into appropriate schemas and models.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate moderate to highly complex information systems by interpreting Entity‑Relation Diagrams, data dictionaries, record layouts, and logic flow diagrams.
