Director of Design and Research, Loop Net

The Director of Design will lead a team of designers and researchers embedded across product teams, driving design excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring consistent user experiences across the Loop Net platform. The role is responsible for scaling design systems, mentoring talent, and aligning design strategy with business goals. This position is located in Arlington, VA and requires in‑office presence Monday through Friday.

• Lead and mentor a team of designers and UX researchers.
• Establish and evolve Loop Net’s design system and design operations practices.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to deliver cohesive, user‑centered solutions.
• Advocate for accessibility, responsiveness, and design best practices.
• Align design efforts with product roadmaps and strategic priorities.
• Conduct design reviews, workshops, and feedback sessions to drive quality and innovation.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit, in‑person university or college.
• 7+ years of Product Design experience, including team leadership.
• Experience in marketplace or real‑estate platforms preferred.
• Dedication to understanding user needs through research, feedback, and data analysis.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, product, marketing, sales, and customer support.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Track record of commitment to prior employers.
