About Our Client:Addison Group is partnering with one of our clients, a mission-driven organization with a national presence, to hire a Director of Human Resources. Job Description:The Director of Human Resources will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and oversee all core HR functions. This role is responsible for aligning people strategy with organizational goals while ensuring compliance, strengthening HR operations, and fostering an engaged and high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Oversee HR audits, required filings, and employment verification processes
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee documentation
- Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update HR practices
- Lead full-cycle recruiting and onboarding across multiple levels
- Oversee early-career and internship hiring programs
- Advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development
- Manage performance review cycles and leadership development initiatives
- Conduct or guide workplace investigations with discretion and fairness
- Partner with leadership on succession planning and talent strategy
- Oversee HR systems, reporting, data integrity, and vendor relationships
- Partner with Finance on payroll accuracy, audits, and personnel changes
- Develop and manage the HR budget and monitor HR-related expenditures
- Provide workforce analytics and insights to support leadership decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM, PHR, SPHR) preferred
- Strong background in compliance, employee relations, and talent management
- Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior leadership
- Deep knowledge of employment laws across multiple states
- Experience managing HR systems, budgets, and complex organizational processes
- Excellent communication skills with strong judgment and discretion
