Position Overview

As the HR Assistant & Office Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping our office operations running smoothly while supporting the heart of our organization, our people. This dual-role position blends administrative excellence with human resources support, giving you the opportunity to assist in managing day-to-day office functions and contribute to key HR initiatives.

This position is contingent based upon contract award

Key Responsibilities
  • Office Operations:
    Manage daily office functions, including supplies, equipment, vendor coordination, and maintenance requests.
  • Staff Support:
    Serve as the go-to resource for office inquiries and assist staff with benefit questions, directing them to appropriate resources.
  • Financial Coordination:
    Assist with invoicing and billing processes to ensure accuracy and timely payments.
  • Scheduling & Events:
    Coordinate meetings, event space, and conference room logistics.
  • Recruiting Assistance:
    Support talent acquisition by reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, and managing candidate flow in the recruiting platform.
  • HR Compliance:
    Assist with maintaining accurate staff records and assist with compliance documentation.
  • Communication:
    Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally and efficiently.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in office management and/or HR support roles.
  • Experience with invoicing, billing, and basic accounting principles.
  • Some knowledge of HR processes and staff benefits administration.
Skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Primary Work Location

Work is to be performed fully onsite in Arlington, VA (with potential for telecommuting)

Salary

$55,000 - $70,000 annually
