Your Opportunity with ECG:
Consultant

As a consultant you’ll be part of our consulting team, working alongside top professionals to shape healthcare. You will join ECG as a general member of our healthcare consulting pool, gaining diverse experiences across four divisions:
Health System Performance, Medical Group Optimization, Payer Strategy & Contracting, and Strategy & Enterprise Growth.

Your Responsibilities May Include
  • Analyzing and synthesizing data to inform client recommendations.
  • Using financial modeling to conduct in‑depth analyses and recommend executable strategies.
  • Drafting project analyses and deliverables.
  • Communicating project progress and seeking input.
  • Developing depth of technical expertise.
  • Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders.
  • Taking responsibility for project outcomes.
  • Communicating effectively with management and executive‑level client staff.
  • Identifying opportunities to engage clients on future projects.
  • Learning about ECG’s breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect personal and professional interests.
  • Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement.
  • Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life.
  • Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks.
Our Expectations of You
  • Passion for the healthcare industry.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or a health‑related field preferred.
  • Prior work experience in healthcare consulting and/or hospital administration/operations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Track record of strong client service.
  • Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel at least 60% of the time, with flexibility to meet client needs.
Job Location s
  • Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, San Diego, Washington, DC.
  • Hybrid work schedule, minimum of two days per week in office when not traveling for a client engagement.
Schedule

Full time/exempt.

What You Can Expect Of Us

We offer an attractive compensation package, challenging work, and an entrepreneurial environment where you can take ownership of your career—and get out as much as you put in. The estimated base salary range is $110,000–$125,000 annually, with participation in incentive compensation and benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, unlimited PTO, and other wellness programs.
