Job Details:

• Float position across multiple units including IMC, Tele 1 (cardiac), Tele 2 (non-cardiac), and Med/Surg

• Every other weekend (EOW) required with 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6 weeks

• No call responsibilities

• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• Must have 3 years of experience and travel experience required

• Active Virginia or Compact license required in hand at submission

• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS

• NIH certification preferred

• Cardiac Telemetry certification required

• Epic charting system experience required

• PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required

• Management of dysrhythmias required

• Telemetry monitoring on unit required

• Use of rapid response teams required

• Pre/Post cardiac catheterization experience required

• Central line and PICC line management required

• Starting IVs preferred

• Heparin protocols required

• Manage and titrate cardiac drips required

• Traumatic brain injury experience preferred

• Peripheral nerve block catheters preferred

• Surgical drains experience preferred

• Isolation precautions required

• Wound care/wound vac experience preferred

• Care for pulmonary, cardiac, and trauma patients requiring advanced airway management

• Work with patients on ventilators, high flow oxygen, BIPAP, cardiac drips, and chest tubes

• Smoke/nicotine free facility

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st)
