This is a full-time, on-site Respiratory Therapist role located in Arlington, VA. Responsibilities include providing respiratory care to patients of all ages, assessing patient respiratory conditions, administering therapy, and monitoring therapy outcomes. Additional duties involve operating respiratory equipment, collaborating with healthcare teams to develop care plans, and maintaining patient records. The Respiratory Therapist will play a critical role in improving overall patient care and ensuring the highest level of respiratory support is delivered.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of respiratory care procedures and techniques, including administering oxygen, aerosolized medications, and ventilator management.
- Experience with operating and maintaining respiratory systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, critical thinking, and developing individualized care plans for diverse patient needs.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to work with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and patients.
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist and certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program; advanced certification (e.g. RRT) preferred.
- Experience in a hospital setting, particularly in Intensive Care Units or Emergency Departments, is highly desirable.
