Venipuncture Supervisor Job Description
Responsible for managing the Venipuncture Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and in‑servicing. Also responsible for the department’s adherence to Administrative, Personnel and Patient Care Service policies as well as JCAHO and CAP regulations. Manage all shifts’ functions and operations in the Venipuncture area, including supplies management and maintaining an 80th percentile patient satisfaction score. Additional duties include coverage of the Accession Area and Client and Courier Services during the manager’s absence, monitoring latest safety devices, and evaluating new techniques and equipment.
EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience- Five years of experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
- Five years of healthcare/medical phlebotomy experience is required.
- Phlebotomy micro‑techniques are preferred.
- Computer experience is preferred.
