The Certification Manager is an essential role in the administration and success of PALTmed’s certification programs. This position will support and advance certification activities for PALTC clinicians by working directly with applicants to answer questions and guide them through the initial application and renewal processes. This role helps sustain PALTmed’s mission to empower compassionate and skilled clinicians to deliver person-centered care in post-acute and long-term care settings by facilitating meaningful member experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the operations of the certification portal, including needed adjustments and upgrades, ensuring compliance with established procedures for data entry and maintenance, and working with the vendor to ensure a positive user experience.
  • Track and analyze certification metrics to assess the effectiveness of the certification program and use these metrics to make data-driven decisions for improvement to the certification program processes.
  • Manage program fees, process payments, and prepare invoices as needed.
  • Create, maintain, and update certification website pages, as necessary.
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Stay up to date on certification industry trends, emerging technologies, and certification best practices to continually enhance the certification program and applicant experience.
  • Develop, maintain, and adhere to certification program processes and procedures to ensure compliance with NCCA Standards.
  • General administrative duties and other duties as assigned.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the customer service team in the Membership Department to ensure they are trained to address any certification questions.
  • Partner with the marketing team to update the website and provide input on promotional materials needed.
  • Serve as the staff liaison to the Certification Council, coordinating activities to ensure achievement of goals and objectives. Provide direct administrative support for meetings, conference calls, minutes, and board reports.
Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey project requirements, deadlines, and expectations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to work effectively and professionally with physicians and other health care professionals.
  • Strong project management abilities and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and prioritize amongst multiple projects and deadlines and function with a fast-paced team environment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Technologically savvy, has experience with certification software.
  • Results-oriented, self-starter who is detail oriented and deadline focused.
  • Intellectually curious individual who is willing to learn and focus on continuous quality improvement.
  • Excellent customer service skills focused on responding to member and customer needs.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
