Clinical Technician, Medical IMCU

Job Overview

The Clinical Technician III works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and is an active member of the health care team. The role involves performing a variety of routine duties in patient care, including direct patient care, activities of daily living, observing changes in patient status, providing a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related duties. Clinical Technicians must be empathetic and possess good communication and nursing skills to care for patients.

• Perform direct patient care and activities of daily living.
• Observe changes in patient status and report to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Transport patients to various locations within the facility.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• 1 year experience as a Clinical Technician II as defined in the core skills for Clinical Technician III, or
• 1 year experience as a Clinical Technician II who has successfully completed the VHC Health Clinical Technician III education, or
• Completed a training program meeting core skills & competencies, or
• Successful completion of the VHC Health Nurse Externship Program.

• BLS Certification required.
