Spring 2026 New Graduate RN Residency, 1B Observation Unit/Emergency Department

VHC Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join the 1B Observation Unit/Emergency Department for the Spring 2026 residency program.

The RN is responsible for direct and indirect total nursing care of assigned patients, including the supervision of assigned personnel. The role requires knowledge of department and hospital policies and procedures, interpretive and consultative skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in written, auditory and visual formats.

• Associate’s in Nursing (Required) or Bachelor’s in Nursing (Required)

New Graduate with less than one year of Nursing/Patient Care experience in an acute care setting.

• Registered Nurse licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions (required) or Compact State Licensure in Nursing (required)
• BLS certification required
• New-to-practice or graduate RN’s have one year to complete specialty certifications including ACLS, PALS, NRP, de‑escalation training, and specialty unit requirements as listed.
