Your Opportunity with ECG:
Principal

As a principal at ECG, you’ll be a critical member of our consulting team and firm leadership. You will partner with some of the industry’s best, make a real difference in people’s lives, and grow personally and professionally while doing so. A principal is a stepping‑stone to the role of partner and demonstrates thought leadership, client relationship‑management skills, and superior engagement delivery.

Responsibilities May Include
  • Actively managing a portfolio of client engagements and consulting staff, ensuring all contractual targets and deliverables are met.
  • Working with the client to articulate complex issues and strategizing with consultant teams on project approach.
  • Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of solutions to drive long‑lasting client success.
  • Leading valuation projects involving provider compensation, joint ventures, leasing arrangements and professional services agreements.
  • Delivering objective, defensible FMV and commercial reasonableness opinions that support compliance and strategic decision‑making.
  • Advising healthcare executives, legal counsel and compliance officers on valuation implications for organizational alignment and risk mitigation.
  • Managing a high‑performing cadre of professionals and building and developing a team of consulting leaders.
  • Collaborating in the continued growth and development of the Valuation Services Practice.
  • Marketing and selling $2+ million in annual consulting revenue.
  • Participating in firm and Valuation Services Practice management.
Requirements
  • Outstanding drive, determination and desire to be part of a growing elite‑level consulting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for the provider healthcare sector.
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare valuation consulting with expertise in fair market valuation and commercial reasonableness standards; consideration given to senior executives of provider organizations combined with consulting experience.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory compliance and provider compensation models.
  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems, directing and managing individuals and completing challenging projects.
  • Track record of managing multiple engagements, including work plans, deliverables, budgets and schedules, and accounts receivable.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in selling and managing engagements.
  • Thought‑leader marketing activities – networking, participating in professional societies, publishing and presenting whitepapers, speeches and articles.
  • Focus on staff development, coaching and retention, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or a health‑related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain deep client relationships.
