Budget Analyst

This position is located in the Human Resources Division-Arlington, VA. The selectee of this position serves as a Budget Analyst. You will be responsible for advising and consulting with appropriate budget formulation, budget execution, and management team leaders, division managers, and key program managers.

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).

You may qualify at the GS-0560-13 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications:

• Formulating, coordinating, and monitoring the budget and spending plans of an organization's financial program;
• Evaluating organizational operations to perform cost benefit analysis;
• Conducting reviews of an organization's programs to identify ways to improve business practices, re-engineer activities, and reduce costs;
• Conducting studies of operational functions to advise senior management on organizational structure improvements.
