Position Overview:

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Analyst (APA) for our STAQSS II contract.

The STAQSS II contract supports the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ). The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s resources for effective mission accomplishment, innovation, and technical competence. The contractor shall support acquisition and sustainment efforts across various organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Headquarters Air Force (HAF) budget preparation, defense, SAE oversight, decision-making activities, and PEO program execution.
• Maintaining and analyzing planning, scheduling, and management data.
• Studying, analyzing, and providing recommendations on requirements, acquisition strategies, program documentation, and execution.
• Providing assessments of programs approaching milestones and of contractor issues.
• Researching program trends, identifying issues, and recommending solutions.
• Making recommendations on funding allocation, program goals, objectives, and schedules.
• Tracking compliance and identifying issues.
• Researching programmatic issues and tradeoffs regarding capabilities, costs, and schedules.
• Reviewing policies and evaluating their impact on acquisition programs.
• Maintaining historical documentation and developing summaries, briefings, and training materials.
• Providing quick analyses of critical issues for various stakeholders.
• Preparing PPBE documentation to accurately reflect current programs.
• Supporting HAF review processes and other oversight activities.
• Reviewing and documenting requests related to declassification and FOIA.
• Monitoring ongoing studies and developmental work relevant to weapon systems.
• Supporting program-specific efforts like CONOPS, CDD, CPD, and requirements groups.
• Assisting in legislative preparations and ensuring consistent Air Force positions.
• Performing other related duties as coordinated with the COR.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of acquisition experience in a System Program Office and/or Air Force Headquarters.
• Experience with DoD PPBE process, including budget documentation and analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Work Experience Substitutions:

• 12 years of relevant work experience may substitute for a Master’s degree.
• BA/BS plus 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for a Master’s degree.
