Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Global Sales Finance

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced finance talent to join the AWS Global Sales Finance team to support an array of fast growing businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of one of the most dynamic and fastest growing organizations at Amazon.

The role will work closely with business and finance stakeholders to support and drive a large and complex business segment within AWS. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing and forecasting revenue and customer acquisition trends to monitor state of the business health, deep‑diving variances to uncover operating insights, collaborating on strategic investment opportunities and programs to optimize financial returns, establishing/enhancing governance mechanisms, and driving planning and forecasting rhythms.

The candidate will also build AI tools to generate insights and drive productivity across the organization.

Successful candidates will have a high degree of intellectual curiosity, a passion for uncovering insights to drive business outcomes at scale, the ability to influence senior stakeholders via strong written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to prioritize effectively while dealing with ambiguity.

• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders on revenue, customer acquisition, and strategic investment decisions that balance growth objectives with financial returns
• Invent and design scalable detailed reporting to monitor the business and financial health
• Deep dive drivers of monthly & quarterly variances in expense, revenue, and business performance metrics and provide key insights to business stakeholders to inform operating strategies
• Support planning and forecasting and influence business stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned with broader organizational objectives
• Develop and implement governance mechanisms to protect AWS investments
• Develop AI and analytics tools to generate insights and drive productivity improvements across the organization

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience with building out AI agents and tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
