Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, and integrity of the organization. The CFO provides strategic leadership to ensure financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and long-term growth while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO partners closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders to drive informed decision-making and organizational performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
Develop and execute the organization s financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on financial planning, risk management, and growth initiatives
Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decisions, investments, and capital allocation
Financial Management & Operations
Oversee all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, payroll, and financial reporting
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Lead cash flow management, working capital optimization, and liquidity planning
Establish and monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators
Governance, Compliance & Risk
Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal financial controls
Oversee audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors, banks, and advisors
Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks
Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
Partner cross-functionally to support operational excellence
Systems & Process Improvement
Oversee financial systems, tools, and technology to enhance reporting, efficiency, and scalability
Drive process improvements to streamline financial operations and improve data integrity
Required
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior management roles
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership and boards
Preferred
MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant advanced certification
Experience leading finance functions in complex or high-growth environments
Background in [industry-specific experience, if applicable]
Strategic and analytical thinker with strong business acumen
Proven leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
High integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail
