Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, and integrity of the organization. The CFO provides strategic leadership to ensure financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and long-term growth while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO partners closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders to drive informed decision‑making and organizational performance.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:
    Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives; serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on financial planning, risk management, and growth initiatives; provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decisions, investments, and capital allocation.
  • Financial Management & Operations:
    Oversee all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, payroll, and financial reporting; ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; lead cash flow management, working capital optimization, and liquidity planning; establish and monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators.
  • Governance, Compliance & Risk:
    Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal financial controls; oversee audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors, banks, and advisors; identify and mitigate financial and operational risks; maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team; foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration; partner cross-functionally to support operational excellence.
  • Systems & Process Improvement:
    Oversee financial systems, tools, and technology to enhance reporting, efficiency, and scalability; drive process improvements to streamline financial operations and improve data integrity.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior management roles
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership and boards

Preferred

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant advanced certification
  • Experience leading finance functions in complex or high-growth environments
  • Background in [industry-specific experience, if applicable]
