Finance Manager, AWS Sales Finance
Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member in our AWS Sales Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon.
As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with business leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements, and identifying paths to improve the overall planning and forecasting process. You will also provide strategy support to the business partners.
The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting strategic decision‑making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self‑starter with strong modeling skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. It also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, thus requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills, a strong business sense, and capability to independently drive business partnership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead short‑ and long‑term financial planning
- Build financial framework and models for new business ideas
- Provide strategic partnership to key business initiatives and investment
- Present financial summary and business insights to senior management
- Tighten internal controls for program spending and revenue accrual
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- 7+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
