Job Description
Job Title: Parking Lot Attendant
Location: Army Navy Country Club, Arlington, VA
Job Summary:
The Parking Lot Attendant ensures members, guests, and employees experience smooth and secure parking operations at Army Navy Country Club. This seasonal role, running from the end of May through mid-August, involves shuttling individuals between parking areas and the main clubhouse, assisting with parking logistics, and collaborating with the Security Team to maintain a safe environment. Attendants also patrol parking lots and act as key communicators for operational observations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shuttle Service: Safely operate club-provided shuttles to transport members, guests, and employees between lower parking lots and the main clubhouse.
- Parking Assistance: Direct vehicles to appropriate spaces, assist with parking along Army Navy Drive during peak times, and maintain smooth traffic flow in the parking areas.
- Member Assistance: Deliver exceptional member service by assisting members and guests with directions, loading/unloading items, and addressing parking-related inquiries.
- Collaboration with Security: Act as the eyes and ears of the club, working in coordination with the Security Team to enhance overall safety and security.
- Communication: Relay observations, concerns, and operational needs to management and the Security Team.
- Additional Duties: Support club operations, including assisting during swim meets or events and performing other tasks as needed.
The schedule for this position includes:
- Fridays:
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM
- Saturdays:
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM
- Sundays:
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM
- Occasional Thursday Evenings: For swim meets or special events.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be over the age of 18.
- Ability to operate shuttle vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong observational skills and ability to identify potential safety or security concerns.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift light items as needed.
- Previous experience in a hospitality role.
- Familiarity with private country club environments.
