Overview

Top of the Town is a unique event space that features indoor and outdoor sights of Washington, D.C.'s dramatic landmarks from across the Potomac River. The venue offers spectacular daytime and nighttime views of the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Capitol, Jefferson Memorial, and more. This exceptional space can accommodate up to 180 guests for weddings, meetings, media productions, and special events.

• Be the main contact for the event Sponsor and vendors during the event, arriving before vendors and guests to oversee load-in and setup according to the Event Sponsor's information provided to Top of the Town's Event Coordinator.
• Oversee load-out and cleanup at the end of the event.
• Be hospitable, welcoming each vendor (caterers, entertainment, florists, photographers, decorators, and more) and guests, directing each according to the specifics in compliance with the event Sponsor's contract, timeline, and layouts.
• Ensure compliance with the event contract and provided documents/instructions; review event documents in advance, confirm vendors are familiar with regulations, complete forms/checklists, circulate throughout the property during the event, respond to concerns or needs from the Sponsor and vendors, intervene and report when necessary.

• Each event averages 10 hours; 3-4 events per month.

• Important character qualities: hospitable, prompt, able to follow written directions, organized.

• The Facility Manager's priority is to protect the facility and create a safe environment for guests and vendors. This includes complying with contract and documents/instructions provided by the Top of the Town Event Coordinator.
