As a Senior Network Engineer supporting ETM, you will be trusted to review and evaluate information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards.
- Designs, plans, and builds communications networks.
- Configures routers and switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.
- Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.
- Monitors the network utilizing industry leading technologies.
- Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process.
- Plans implementation of enhancements.
- Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
- Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
- Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
- Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
- Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.
- Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Designs and builds the hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
- Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Senior Network Engineer must have:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Security clearance level: Active Top Secret required with the ability to obtain SCI.
- Experience: 5+ years of related experience.
- Certifications: Current IAT Level II certification required. In addition, candidate must possess a current Networking Certification to include Brocade, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP), or Aruba. Selected candidate must also be willing to obtain an Aruba Certification within 90 days from start of employment.
- Hands‑on experience/knowledge with Aruba networking systems.

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
