Senior Supplier Development

Akkodis is recruiting a Sr. Supplier Development Engineer with a space client in the California area. This is a contract to hire position with a pay rate of $120 an hour to $125 an hour depending on education, experience and location. Travel required to customer sites on the West Coast.

• Hands-on manufacturing experience and knowledge of the Space business.
• Core Skills include:
• Space business and processes knowledge.
• Proven manufacturing/production experience with shopfloor experience.
• Demonstrated experience in driving end-to-end recovery plans at supplier premises.
• Ability to drive teams and communicate at all levels (from operators to CEO).
• Lean and/or Six sigma expertise (Lean 6 Sigma Back Belt is a plus).
• Supply-Chain/planning expertise (APICS certified is a plus).
• Problem solving / root-cause analysis (9S / 8D / Shainin).
• Have the ability to use Excel for data – along with ability to analyze customers ERP and BI systems to manipulate data if necessary.
• Operational Excellence with suppliers to steer end to end supplier quality efforts is the priority.

• Bachelors Degree in engineering, supply chain, procurement, quality or related field.
• 10+ years experience.
• Experience in the space sector is required.
