What You'll Do

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring every aspect of the project runs smoothly – from technical planning and documentation to problem-solving in the field. You'll work closely with superintendents, craft teams, and clients to deliver safe, high-quality, on-time results.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret design plans and specifications for construction teams.
  • Identify and resolve design discrepancies, interferences, or field challenges.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation – status reports, submittals, sketches, punch lists, and more.
  • Monitor budgets, costs, and schedules to support project profitability.
  • Assist in the preparation of field design changes and as-built drawings.
  • Support project safety programs and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Provide mentorship or training to junior team members.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of previous construction, design, or project management experience in heavy civil or highway work preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical and analytical abilities.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
    • Business-minded approach with attention to detail and cost control.
    • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
