We’re looking for a Senior Telecommunications Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative work environment and enjoys working closely with clients in the data center market. This opportunity is available at any location in the United States; candidates near a Jacobs U.S. office are preferred.

• Lead the BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
• Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits.
• Review technical documents.
• Mentor other team members.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Sign and seal telecommunications design packages.
• Work with the lead engineer and/or department manager to identify processes that improve department efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering from an ABET‑accredited college.
• Minimum 8 years of experience actively designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and its application to telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Familiarity with responding to RFPs.
• Experience in providing quality assurance and checking of telecommunications systems designed by others.
• Experience with start‑up and commissioning of telecommunications systems.
• Experience creating a budget for a project.
• Experience creating and maintaining a project schedule.
• Experience identifying and mitigating company risk.
• PE license; ability to obtain multiple PE licenses.

• 4 years telecommunications design experience in data centers.
• Experience working on other low‑voltage systems such as security, audio/visual, and wireless.
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms.
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for control systems and security systems.
• Thorough knowledge of CSI or AIA specification writing procedures.
• Credential as an RCDD.
